| Depression In our society, there is no time for people who are depressed. To feel depressed is to feel ashamed, guilty, and lower than anyone else. Our society is so hedonistic that it doesn't like dealing with people with mental problems, preferring instead to try and forget about them and worry about third world countries (only when we feel like it though), and enjoying life. The Western world is half lies and half lip gloss, which covers over the meaningless lives of the people living in it. In our society, being depressed means being emotionally cut loose, being unable to tell anyone how you're feeling in case you make them feel bad. This is why suicides are on the increase. Back |
